On March 1, at the educational lesson “The Merciful Land of Kazakhstan” in the library, they recalled the spiritual feat of the Kazakh people and the difficult trials that befell all the ethnic groups of our country. The participants of the lesson were the children of the 5th grade of the gymnasium 3. The children learned that there were difficult times in the history of Kazakhstan, when the Kazakh land received millions of migrants. The event was attended by representatives of the Karaganda regional society “German Center” Wiedergeburt “, who introduced the children to some historical facts of the deportation of the German people, and also performed musical numbers.

As part of the Coaching Center “I am a Personality”, another motivating and developing training “Emotional Intelligence” was held in the library. What are emotions and how are they different from feelings? What role do emotions play in human life? How to manage your emotions? These questions were answered by the invited coach-trainers – professional psychologists Olga Penkova and Tatyana Spiridonova.
Having analyzed in detail the various emotions and their shades, the guys, divided into teams, proceeded to perform various tasks. Simple at first glance, the games required a high level of concentration. So the guys in practice learned to manage emotions. At the end of the training, the trainers together with the participants held an emotional release, gaining a positive mood until the next meeting.

On February 25, in the classes of the library laboratory “Funny Science”, a fascinating experiment was held, in which substances used in everyday life were used. With the help of carbon dioxide, formed as a result of the combination of acetic acid with baking soda, together with the laboratory moderator, the young researchers inflated the balloons. Despite the simplicity of the experiment, the children were reminded that it is necessary to experiment together with adults.
After the experience, the children were introduced to books about experiments that can be done at home and were invited to the next lesson.

We continue to introduce our readers to well-known book publishers. This time, one of the old Russian publishing houses, which appeared on the book market in 1993, was chosen – the Makhaon publishing house.
The publishing house’s products are very diverse: among the books produced, you can find works of art by famous authors, colorful large-format encyclopedias, large serial editions.
The book exhibition contains the literature most beloved by our readers. There are fascinating fantastic adventures of K. Funke, charming novels by E. Porter, intricate detective stories by E. Blyton and much more.

On February 22, the library organized for students in grades 7-10 of secondary school 17 and school-lyceum 76 named after Alikhan Bokeykhan the cinema hall “Kaz dauysty Kazybek bi”, dedicated to the orator, public figure Kazybek Keldibekuly.
The partners of the event were the employees of the cinema “Saryzhailau”, who kindly provided for viewing the documentary film “Kaz dauysty Kazybek bi”, shot by the film studio “Kazakhfilm” named after Sh. Aimanov. The authors of the tape were playwright and director Gaziz Nasyrov and screenwriter Yerlan Toleutai. Before the show, the children were introduced to a book exhibition-personal about the life of Kazybek bi.
Our partners presented the library with a photo book “Gasyrlar danalygy babalar murasynda” and a CD with a documentary.
We thank the staff of the cinema “Saryzhailau” for the joint educational event about our famous fellow countryman.

And again the guys came to the classes of the circle to study the Kazakh language. Today they repeated the words on the topic “Friendship” and answered the questions of the cognitive quiz “Who am I?”. The leader of the circle helped the children to compose an oral dialogue about friends.

At the appointed time, the participants of the quiz gathered in the library, who had previously united in teams. What were they to do? Answer different questions to test your erudition. It was not easy, but very exciting and very emotional!
The best team scored the most points for the game and received prizes. Our winners adhere to the slogan “Being smart is fashionable!” and invite “wise guys” to the next quiz for the next competition.

Our craftswomen continue to create jewelry with their own hands at the Free Style art workshop. Today we finished work on screw earrings. Girls decorated earrings with colored beads. The works are unique.

Our readers, who are learning the Kazakh language in the classroom “Let’s speak Kazakh!”, today spoke about friendship. The video “True Friend” introduced the children to such concepts as “loyalty”, “fidelity”, “mutual assistance”, “support”. The leader offered the children to think and answer the questions: do they know how to make friends themselves and whether it is necessary to learn this.

The library hosted the traditional Book Giving Day.
The main idea of the holiday is to inspire people to give each other good books and show that a paper book remains a relevant gift and does not lose its value.
A book as a gift has always been considered a kind of way of expressing respect or becoming a “bridge” for a possible good acquaintance. Today, February 14th , the library staff presented books to regular readers as a gift.
The librarians also donated 20 copies of books and several copies of magazines to the library fund of the Abai gymnasium school.
